Production of the Escort in New Zealand.
The 1.1 and 1.3 litre versions of the Ford Escort was built at Ford’s Seaview, Lower Hutt plan from 1968 until 1975 when the MK II Escort was introduced. The manufacturing was then moved to Ford’s plant in Wiri, South Auckland.
