Ensuring a Safe and Sanitary Environment is Top Priority as Ford New Zealand Dealers Re-Open for Business

Ensuring a Safe and Sanitary Environment is Top Priority as Ford New Zealand Dealers Re-Open for Business

Ford New Zealand and Level 2 – A Safer Normal

With the Government confirming we are moving to Level 2, we’d like to first say well done New Zealand! It’s been a very difficult and challenging time but as a nation we should be proud of the collective effort to manage and contain the virus thus far. We also know however that we’re not yet removed from danger.

So while everyone here at Ford New Zealand is extremely happy to be fully reopening our dealerships and welcoming back customers to showrooms at Level 2, we will be operating under the new “safer normal” with strict safety guidelines as per the government requirements and additional Ford Motor Company requirements.

Below is a brief outline of how Ford dealerships will be operating under Level 2 to help ensure both your and our team’s continued safety.

Visiting a Ford Dealership

Firstly, welcome back!

Upon arrival, we will ask you to sign in to our contact tracing system. Then as you would, please grab a coffee or tea and feel free to check out the new Fords. If you need any more information or have any questions, our teams will be there and happy to help.

While helping answer any of your questions, they will still need to maintain physical distancing of one metre between groups of customers.

Want to go for a test drive? No problem. Our teams can facilitate that in a safe manner, maintaining physical distancing and cleaning of the vehicles. Our team can also facilitate the entire sales process in a contactless manner right through to you taking delivery of your new Ford.

Across all aspects and areas of our dealerships, we will be maintaining hygiene measures with staff using gloves, facemasks and regularly cleaning all surfaces, including vehicles.

Vehicle Servicing

Our Ford service centres are also open and will be operating with the similar physical distancing, vehicle cleaning and drop off/pick up procedures. Many of our dealerships will also be offering contactless home pick-up and delivery service.

Your local Ford dealer service agents can detail the specific process and locations for your dealership when you book your appointment.

You’re a guest of Ford

Above all, when you visit any one of our Ford dealerships, as always, you’re our guest and we want your visit to be enjoyable, informative and stress free. Under Level 2, we welcome you back and we will be doing everything we can to make sure your visit is a safe one.

If you have any questions or concerns, please feel free to ask a question below or contact your Ford dealer.

Social Distancing

Even with the change to alert Level 2, we are very conscious of the ongoing risk of COVID-19 to the public. As such, our dealer staff who need to be at work to do their jobs will be practicing social distancing in dealerships and interaction with customers will be on-line or contactless.
