How do I manage preferred charge times for my electric vehicle?

You can manage your preferred charge times in the Ford app using the Energy screen. Use the steps below for instructions. 

Managing Preferred Charge Times in the Ford App

To manage your preferred charge times and select from the drop-down options below for more steps.

View Preferred Charge Times

  1. Log in to the Ford app.
  2. Go to the Energy screen.
  3. Select Preferred charge times.
  4. Tap the charge time you want to view for more details. 

Note: If no locations are saved, then a message will display advising you to add saved locations. You can select and save a location from the Previous Locations tab.

Set Up a Preferred Charge Time and Assign a Name

  1. Ensure you have set a target charge.
  2. Open the Ford app and select Energy.
  3. Select Preferred charge times.
  4. Choose a location from your list of saved locations.
  5. Select the + (plus) icon.
  6. Tap Select Time next to "Starts" and "Ends" to choose a start and end time.
    • 2025+ model year (MY) vehicles can set one charge window per each Weekday and Weekend option.
    • 2021-2024 MY vehicles can set two charge windows per each Weekday and Weekend option.
  7. Select the Repeat button. You can choose either:
    • Weekdays
    • Weekends
  8. Tap Save and return to the charge time screen.

Edit Preferred Charge Times

  1. Log in to the FordPass App.
  2. Go to the Energy screen.
  3. Select Preferred charge times.
  4. Tap the charge location you want to edit.
  5. Apply your changes.
  6. Select Save. 

Delete Preferred Charge Times

  1. Log in to the FordPass App.
  2. Go to the Energy screen.
  3. Select Preferred charge times.
  4. Tap the charge location you want to delete.
  5. Select Delete.
