How do I start or stop a charge session for my Ford electric vehicle?

You can control your charging session with the Ford app and your all-electric Ford vehicle.

Starting and Stopping a Charging Session

To start and stop a session at an in-network charger with the Ford app:

1. Open the Ford app and tap Energy.
2. Select Find public charging.
3. Match the charger and stall number to the one on the Ford app.
4. Plug in your EV once the charger indicates that it is ready.
5. Tap Activate. It may take up to 2 minutes for your charging session to begin.
6. Plug in your EV once the charger indicates that it is ready.
7. Press the Stop button next to your EV's charge port.
8. Unplug the charging cord once the station indicates the session is over.

Note: You can also tap Stop on the Energy screen if you are at an AC charger.
