How do I create a Ford app account?
Use the steps below to create your Ford app* account. If you already have a Ford account, you can log in using your existing account credentials (i.e., username/email and password) in the Ford app.
Important: You do not have to create a new account if:
- You have a new device. Refer to the How do I get my For app account on my new phone? topic for steps on accessing your existing account.
- You lost your device or if it was stolen. Refer to the What happens if I lose my device and the Ford app is active? topic for restoring steps.
Creating Your Ford App Account
- Download the Ford app via your respective platform:
- App Store® for iOS® devices
- Google Play™ store for Android™ devices
- Open the Ford app on your device.
- Select your Country.
- Tap Create Account.
- Enter your email address.
- Select Request Email.
- Locate the confirmation email and tap Verify Email.
- Enter the following details:
- First Name
- Last Name
- Email Address (this will be your username)
- Password that meets the following criteria:
- Has 8–64 characters
- Is not the same as your mobile number or username
- Has at least one special character
- Has at least one number
- Has at least one upper-case and lower-case letter
- Review the Terms and Conditions and check the box.
- Select Create Account.
You can now enter your email and password on the Ford app login screen to log in to the Ford app.

What is the Ford app?
*Use of Ford App is subject to the Ford App Terms and Privacy Policy available on ford.co.nz/fordapp and requires a compatible mobile device, internet access and software (including software updates from time to time). Ford App functionality and appearance may change over time due to software updates. You are responsible for internet access, mobile network data and voice call services required for your use of the Ford App on your mobile device, including associated fees. The Ford App and Ford App Connect modem can only work when both are connected to the telecommunications network. The Ford App Connect modem will only function on the 3G, 4G or 5G telecommunications networks. When these networks are no longer available, the modem will stop functioning and the connected services and all data transmission via the modem will cease. Ford cannot guarantee that Ford App will be in fully operating condition at all times and the Ford App may be unavailable or particular Ford App services interrupted. Ford is not responsible for any limitations or restrictions of the telecommunications network or of your mobile device. Warning: Local laws prohibit some phone functions while driving.
