What is FordPass, FordPass Connect and Activated Vehicle?

FordPass is an app that you can download on your smartphone.

FordPass Connect: A vehicle that has an embedded modem containing a SIM card is known as a “Connected Vehicle” Like a smart phone it is connected to the internet and is both able to send and receive certain data. We call that embedded modem “FordPass Connect”.

To make use of the FordPass Connect modem in their vehicle, you need to download the FordPass app and create an account. Link the two together to create an “activated vehicle”.
