Field Service Actions
At Ford, we take pride in high quality, dependable products. From time to time, we might discover a potential issue with a vehicle and will communicate the repair instructions directly to the Owner.
You can check to see if your vehicle is subject to an open recall at any time by entering your 17-digit Vehicle Identification Number (VIN), into the search on the Ford New Zealand Recall and Service Action page.
Your VIN can be found on your vehicle at the base of the windscreen (seen from the outside), or on the vehicle build and compliance labels that can be found on the right hand (driver) side front or rear door openings. The VIN can also be found on documents such as registration papers, insurance or finance statements. Please note, VINs are exactly 17 characters long and contain both numbers and letters. They must be an exact match. For example, the letter ‘O’ and number zero ‘0’ can sometimes be entered incorrectly, resulting in errors. Please confirm your VIN carefully before searching.
Additionally, the New Zealand Transport Agency (NZTA) provides a page where you can browse all open Safety Recalls by Brand. The recalls applicable to Ford can be found at: https://www.vehiclerecallsafety.nzta.govt.nz/default.aspx
