Why is my activation pending in the Ford app?
Your Ford app activation can go into a pending status for multiple reasons, including signal strength and approval status. Use the information below to troubleshoot the issue.

Access Pending in the Ford App
If your access is pending in the Ford app, choose a dropdown below based on your situation.
Primary User Completing the Vehicle Connection
Complete the vehicle connection as the primary user by following these steps:
- Safely enter your vehicle.
- Ensure your vehicle is on, running, parked, and in a well-ventilated and safe area.
- Confirm that your in-vehicle connectivity settings are on.
- Open the Ford app.
- Tap the Connect to Vehicle tile.
- Select I've Started My Vehicle.
- Read and accept the prompt on your vehicle screen.

- Press Check Connection Status.
Notes:
- The Ford app will route you back to the Vehicle screen. The remote commands (if available) should appear below your vehicle image.
- The connection may take up to 10 minutes to complete.
Checking To Ensure Connectivity Settings Are Enabled Using the Ford App and the Vehicle's SYNC System
Ensure your Connectivity Settings are not turned off by completing these steps:
- Open the Ford app.
- Tap the Connect to Vehicle tile.
- Follow the instructions to enable connectivity settings on your vehicle screen.
- Select I've Enabled Connectivity in the Ford app.
- Read and accept the prompt on your vehicle screen.
- Press Check Connection Status.
Checking Access Status as a Secondary User
Check your access status as a secondary user by following these steps:
- Open the Ford app.
- Tap the Access Pending tile.
- Select Check My Access Request. One of the following options will appear:
- Access Pending: This means an authorised driver has not approved your request.
- Access Denied: This means your request has been denied by an authorised driver.
