How do I change my Ford SYNC connectivity settings?
You can change your connectivity settings via your vehicle's SYNC system.
Important: Adjusting your Customer Connectivity Settings can alter the functionality of your remote features, such as Remote Start/Stop, Remote Lock/Unlock, and Vehicle Location. Before you make adjustments, ensure the following pre-conditions are met:
- Your vehicle is completely stopped and in park.
- Your location services are enabled.
- Your vehicle's modem is currently activated via the Ford app.
Changing Your Connectivity Settings
Choose a dropdown below based on your vehicle's SYNC system for steps to adjust your Customer Connectivity Settings.
SYNC 3
- Turn on your vehicle.
- Tap Settings on your Vehicle screen.
- Select FordPass Connect.
- Tap Connectivity Settings.
- To enable a feature, slide the toggle to the right (On).
- To disable a feature, slide the toggle to the left (Off).
SYNC 4
- Turn on your vehicle.
- Tap Settings on your Vehicle screen.
- Select Connectivity.
- Tap Connected Vehicle Features.
- To enable a feature, slide the toggle to the right (On).
- To disable a feature, slide the toggle to the left (Off).
SYNC 4A
- Turn on your vehicle.
- Tap the Vehicle icon on your Vehicle screen.
- Tap Settings.
- Scroll down using the left panel and select Connectivity.
- To enable a feature, slide the toggle to the right (On).
- To disable a feature, slide the toggle to the left (Off).
