How do I know if my vehicle is connected to transmit data?

In vehicles fitted with a FordPass® Connect* modem you will see icons displayed on the in-vehicle SYNC®** screen which indicate that connected vehicle data, which may include location, is being transmitted by the vehicle. These appear as: 

  • Arrows and a Paper Aeroplane: Location and Vehicle Data is being shared.

  • Paper Aeroplane: Only the vehicle's location is being shared.

  • Arrows: Only the vehicle's data is being shared.
