How do I use the global start and stop feature in FordPass^®?

Global Start and Stop gives you the ability to either stop, modify, or re-start an ongoing charge schedule. Use the steps below for more information. 

Requirements to use Global Start and Stop

To access this feature, you must:

• Add a Battery Electric Vehicle (BEV) to FordPass.
• Activate your FordPass^® Connect modem.
• Enable your SYNC Connectivity Settings.
• Have your BEV charging at either a saved or unsaved charge station.

Managing Global Start and Stops

1. Log in to the FordPass App. 
2. Navigate to the Home screen.

3. Select Charge Session.

   Note: This only appears if your vehicle is currently charging. 

4. Scroll down and tap one of the following options:
   • Saved Locations:
     • Stop Charging
     • Resume Schedule (if you tapped Stop Charging, this option displays)
     • Charge to 100%
   • Unsaved Locations:
     • Stop Charging
     • Charge to 100%

Important: 

• Global Start and Stop does not work if you manually pause your charge session from the charge station. The feature will be greyed out.
• To reactivate Global Start and Stop, you must manually resume your session from the charge station.
