Do I have a recall on my vehicle?

In the unlikely event that we need to recall some of our vehicles for safety reasons, we will send a letter to the registered owner on either the Government's Vehicle Registration database or our own records, requesting that the repair work be completed as quickly as is convenient. Alternatively, you can visit our Recalls page and check yourself to see if your vehicle has outstanding recalls.

Is it safe to continue driving my vehicle?

Unless specifically stated in your letter, you can continue to drive your vehicle, but please do book in with a Ford Authorised Repairer at your earliest opportunity. Once you have been notified of a safety recall that affects your vehicle, it is your responsibility to have your vehicle repaired in accordance with the instructions in the letter provided, at your earliest possible opportunity. Your safety, the safety of your vehicle occupants, and other road users may be at risk.

How do I find out about safety recalls via my Ford account?

  1. If a safety recall notice is issued for your vehicle, your Ford Account will display an alert on its dashboard.
  2. There will be a prominent notification on the My Vehicle tile.
  3. Click on the My Vehicle tile to find out more information about the issue and book a service online with your local Ford Dealer to resolve the problem.

You will always receive a letter from Ford about any recall. But the Ford Account will show the alert as soon as it's released, potentially allowing you to take action sooner.

Log in to your Ford account now and make managing your Ford easier than ever.
