What was the inspiration for the design of the Ranger?
Our customers. Ford Ranger is known as a truly global truck, and you don’t evolve something that iconic without talking to the people who use it every day. To do that we needed to sit, talk to and understand customers around the world in order to figure out what needs they had and what they wanted in a Ranger. Our customers deserve to know that we are listening to them, reading their comments, and reflecting that in our vehicles. Ford Ranger is loaded with features inspired by customer feedback.
Our customers. Ford Ranger is known as a truly global truck, and you don’t evolve something that iconic without talking to the people who use it every day. To do that we needed to sit, talk to and understand customers around the world in order to figure out what needs they had and what they wanted in a Ranger. Our customers deserve to know that we are listening to them, reading their comments, and reflecting that in our vehicles. Ford Ranger is loaded with features inspired by customer feedback.
What design features most differentiate Ford Ranger from your competitors?
Ford Ranger is striking and stands out on its own while still being unmistakably built with Ford DNA. If we had to pull out one thing that sets Ranger apart at first sight, it would be the upper grille and lamps. The execution of this area is really tough and interlocked, designed in a very modern and striking way. We're really excited about this, for more design features, check out the features page.

Is this digital instrument cluster and centre screen standard on all Ford Ranger models?
Yes. The digital cluster was a first-to-segment feature and provides a premium feel to the cabin. Entry to mid series will feature an 8-inch digital cluster and high series will enjoy a 12-inch digital cluster.
Does Ford Ranger maintain its 5-Star ANCAP safety rating with this design and engineering?
Safety is one of Ford’s highest priorities and our intent is to achieve the highest safety ratings. All our Ford Ranger variants, excluding Raptor is rated 5-Star ANCAP. Raptor is not rated.
